Sleeping in Tarquinia's historic centre

Il Butto is a holiday home in Tarquinia's old town: exposed stone, a tufa vault, oak parquet and, in the floor, a butto of Etruscan origin reworked in the Middle Ages. Through the glass you can see amphorae, plates and grave goods, lit at every hour of the day by a motion-sensor light.

Squares, the Archaeological Museum and restaurants are all on foot; the Monterozzi Necropolis is a few minutes by car, and so is the sea at the Lido.
